Ferretti 550 — Italian Elegance, Space & Comfort
The Ferretti 550 is a sophisticated Italian flybridge motor yacht that brings together elegant styling, generous living spaces and confident cruising performance. At 17.37 metres (57 ft), she offers the volume and comfort of a larger yacht while maintaining an inviting atmosphere perfectly suited to relaxed Mediterranean cruising. With a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 30 knots, she is equally at home exploring coastlines, moving between islands or settling into a secluded anchorage.
One of the Ferretti 550's highlights is her abundance of outdoor living space. The photographs on pages 2 and 9 showcase a spacious foredeck and an elevated flybridge, offering areas for sunbathing, socialising and enjoying uninterrupted views across the water. The flybridge features generous seating, a table and large lounging areas, creating an ideal setting for drinks, conversation or simply relaxing beneath the Mediterranean sun.
Inside, the yacht has a warm, welcoming character. The main salon, pictured on pages 3 and 4, combines generous seating and dining areas with large windows and an open layout designed for easy socialising. Neutral upholstery, polished wood detailing and soft finishes give the interior a timeless feel, while the separate galley provides a practical space for preparing meals during longer stays onboard.
Accommodation is arranged across three ensuite cabins for up to six guests. The full-beam master cabin provides a private retreat, complemented by two twin cabins, one of which can be converted into a wall-to-wall double bed. This flexible configuration makes the yacht particularly suitable for families, couples or mixed groups. Separate crew accommodation helps maintain guest privacy throughout the charter.
Powered by twin 900 HP MAN engines, the Ferretti 550 cruises at approximately 24 knots and reaches a top speed of 30 knots. Her Deep-V planing hull is designed for stable cruising, while her 4.93-metre beam contributes to the generous interior and exterior volume. The brochure lists the yacht as built in 2004, with refit years of 2018 and 2026.
For time on the water, snorkeling equipment is included, while a Seabob and SUP can be arranged for an additional rental fee upon request. She accommodates 10 passengers on day trips with a professional crew of two; for daily charters, the brochure notes that only one cabin and one WC facility are available.
Combining classic Ferretti design, a spacious flybridge, flexible three-cabin accommodation and comfortable cruising performance, the Ferretti 550 is an excellent choice for guests who value space and understated luxury. Whether enjoying a leisurely lunch at anchor, stretching out on the sun deck or cruising toward the next destination, she provides an elegant and comfortable setting for memorable days at sea.
