Boat-specific Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with OPAL Cruises (“OPAL Cruises”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or enquiry for a charter with OPAL Cruises, you agree to the following terms. 1.
1. Bookings
All charter bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by OPAL Cruises. Bookings and payments are processed securely through the BoatBooked platform. A booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been paid through BoatBooked and confirmation has been issued.
2. Guest Capacity
In accordance with maritime safety regulations, a maximum of 12 guests are permitted onboard, including the skipper. The number of guests must not exceed this limit under any circumstances. OPAL Cruises reserves the right to refuse boarding to any additional guests if this limit is exceeded.
3. Guest Conduct
All guests must behave in a safe and respectful manner during the charter. OPAL Cruises reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate a charter if guests behave in a disorderly or unsafe manner, fail to follow crew instructions, or pose a risk to the vessel, crew, or other passengers. No refunds will be issued if a charter is terminated due to inappropriate conduct.
4. Safety
Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by the skipper and crew at all times. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the charter.
5. Weather
Charters operate in most weather conditions. However, OPAL Cruises reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel a charter if weather conditions are considered unsafe. All safety decisions are made at the discretion of the skipper.
6. Liability
Guests participate in charters at their own risk. OPAL Cruises will not be held liable for personal injury, loss or damage to personal belongings, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
7. Damage to Vessel
The person making the booking is responsible for any damage caused to the vessel, equipment, or furnishings by members of their party during the charter. OPAL Cruises reserves the right to recover repair or replacement costs where necessary.
8. Amendments
OPAL Cruises reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of booking will apply to that booking.

Please note that bookings will proceed in rainy or windy weather, unless the conditions are deemed unsafe for boating by the captain of your vessel.

*Earn points: To earn Qantas Points you must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member. Members will earn 2 Qantas Points per A$1 spent on Australian boat bookings, day charters, boat charters and transfers on Ahoy Club, Ahoy Days and Floatspace. Members will earn 1 Qantas Point per A$1 equivalent spent on international boat bookings, day charters, boat charters and transfers with Ahoy Club, Ahoy Days and Floatspace. Members will also earn Qantas Points (at the same respective rates) on food and beverage packages added to all bookings. For eligible bookings paid in foreign currency, Qantas Points are calculated based on the total booking price converted to Australian dollars using the exchange rate determined by Ahoy Club at the time of payment. Any Qantas Points displayed during the booking process are estimates only and are calculated using the exchange rate at the date of booking. To earn Qantas Points, a member must add their Qantas Frequent Flyer details to their booking at time of booking. Members won’t earn points if a booking is cancelled prior to departure. If a booking is amended, points will be awarded based on the final total value of the transaction.
Use points: To use Qantas Points on a booking, members must use a minimum of 4,000 Qantas Points and book the charter via Ahoy Club, Ahoy Days or Floatspace. You must provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer number at the point of booking. Alternatively, if you are making a booking over the phone after providing the Ahoy booking agent your Qantas Frequent Flyer number and surname. You will then be prompted to select how many Qantas Points you would like to use by clicking on the Qantas Frequent Flyer card in the Qantas App. A member can choose to use Qantas Points to cover the entire value of a booking product or, choose to use a portion of Qantas Points via Points Plus Pay, where the remaining balance can be paid using an accepted form of payment. Members who want to use Qantas Points to cover some or all of their booking total and want to pay a deposit when booking more than 45 days in advance, need to contact Ahoy Club. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions.
