VanDutch 40 “Smart Ass” — Sleek Style & Effortless Ibiza Cruising
The VanDutch 40 “Smart Ass” is a striking 12-metre luxury day boat created for stylish, relaxed cruising around Ibiza and Formentera. With her unmistakable minimalist profile, long flush foredeck and contemporary open layout, she offers the perfect combination of sophisticated design, performance and sociable outdoor living.
Measuring 12 metres in length with a 3.5-metre beam, the VanDutch 40 provides generous space for a day boat while retaining the sleek proportions for which the brand is known. She accommodates up to nine guests plus a skipper, making her an excellent choice for groups of friends, couples or families looking for a private day on the Mediterranean.
Her exterior spaces are the highlight of the experience. The yacht features an expansive open deck with a large sunbed, comfortable exterior seating and a shaded cockpit area. The wide aft platform provides convenient access to the sea, while the open seating arrangement creates a natural social area for relaxing, enjoying drinks and taking in Ibiza's coastline.
The VanDutch 40 also offers an open-plan cabin and WC, providing additional comfort and privacy during a full day at sea. Other onboard features include a sunshade and Bluetooth music connection, allowing guests to create a relaxed atmosphere while cruising or anchored in one of the island's secluded bays.
With a cruising speed of 26 knots, “Smart Ass” is perfectly suited to island hopping and makes destinations such as Espalmador, Illetes and Cala Saona in Formentera easily accessible during a day charter from Ibiza. The brochure estimates fuel consumption at approximately 110 litres per hour, depending on the route and cruising conditions.
The charter includes a professional captain, insurance, towels, complimentary drinks and snacks, paddle board and snorkeling equipment, so guests can simply arrive and enjoy their day on the water. The yacht is based at Ibiza Marina Botafoch.
With her iconic modern styling, spacious sunbathing areas, comfortable open cockpit and 26-knot cruising performance, the VanDutch 40 “Smart Ass” is an excellent choice for discovering Ibiza and Formentera in style—whether spending the afternoon swimming in turquoise coves, enjoying lunch ashore or cruising back toward Ibiza as the sun begins to set.
